The Company
Your business deserves a real CPA in its corner – all year long.
Most small businesses only talk to a licensed accountant once a year — when the damage is already done. We believe that’s backwards. Consistent, professional bookkeeping isn’t a luxury reserved for big companies. It’s the foundation every business owner deserves.

The businesses that thrive aren’t the ones that spend the most on accounting, they’re the ones who never let their finances get away from them.
At Smith & Company, we work with small business owners who are tired of feeling behind. We handle the bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting so you always know where you stand. And because we’re here consistently, we get to know your business — which means better advice, fewer surprises, and a relationship built on trust rather than annual emergencies.
Dedicated, licensed accounting support is not out of reach. It’s what your business has earned.
Ready to get your books right – and keep them that way?

The Principle
Years of accounting experience – across every seat at the table.
I’ve worked in public accounting, inside corporate accounting departments, and as an independent advisor. That range isn’t accidental, it’s what makes the difference between an accountant who files papers and one who actually understands your business.
Most business owners interact with their accountant once — at tax time. I’ve spent my career on the inside: managing month-end close, building reporting packages for leadership, migrating systems, redesigning processes that weren’t working, and stepping in as a fractional controller or CFO when companies needed senior financial leadership without the full-time overhead.
That experience — both in public accounting and deep inside finance departments — means I understand what your numbers actually mean, not just how to record them. When I work with a client, I bring the same rigor and attention that I’d bring to a full-time controller role, sized for what a small business actually needs.
You shouldn’t need a large finance team to get large-company financial clarity. That’s exactly what I built Smith & Company to provide.
I’m a licensed CPA with hands-on experience across virtually every function in accounting and finance. If you’re a small business owner who wants a real professional in your corner, not just someone who shows up at tax time, let’s talk.
